Greg Standridge, a 1 Source Insurance Group owner, died the morning of Thursday November 16th after a battle with cancer.
Greg was 50 and a co-owner of CSI Insurance, in Russellville Arkansas. He served in the state Senate as a Republican representing Senate District 16 which includes Newton, Pope and part of Boone, Carroll and Van Buren counties. He served in the Senate since a special election in April 2015.
He served the Russellville area as a constable, volunteer chief of the Crow Mountain Fire Department and as a Pope County emergency medical services rescue technician. He was also a past president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Arkansas and the Professional Insurance Agents of Arkansas.
Greg enjoyed serving and doing for others, was grounded in his faith and lived with a servant’s heart. He always wanted to help and make things better.
Greg was a strong family man and husband. His service to the Lord and faith was a leading driver of his actions. He loved his wife and kids. Our prayers go out to them. His leadership and example of serving others will be missed. He made all of us a better person.
Governor Asa Hutchinson has ordered that the flags be at half-staff in his honor.
Visitation will be from 5-7pm Monday, November 20 at the First Baptist Church in Russellville and the funeral service will be held the following day at 10am Tuesday at the same church.
